The President yesterday, Jan. 12 2010, signed an Executive Order (attached) establishing a Council of Governors to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State Governments to protect our Nation against all types of hazards. When appointed, the Council will be reviewing such matters as involving the National Guard of the various States; homeland defense; civil support; synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities.

The bipartisan Council will be composed of ten State Governors who will be selected by the President to serve two year terms. In selecting the Governors to the Council, the White House will solicit input from Governors and Governors’ associations. Once chosen, the Council will have no more than five members from the same party and represent the Nation as a whole.

Federal members of the Council include the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, the Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’ Security Affairs, the U.S. Northern Command Commander, the Commandant of the Coast Guard, and the Chief of the National Guard Bureau. The Secretary of Defense will designate an Executive Director for the Council.
The Council of Governors will provide an invaluable Senior Administration forum for exchanging views with State and local officials on strengthening our National resilience and the homeland defense and civil support challenges facing our Nation today and in the future.

The formation of the Council of Governors was required by the Fiscal Year 2008 National Defense Authorization Act which stated, “The President shall establish a bipartisan Council of Governors to advise the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the White House Homeland Security Council on matters related to the National Guard and civil support missions.” (NDAA FY2008, Sec 1822)

Possibly, the greatest golfer there ever was, Tiger Woods, has been officially caught in several affairs. And good old Media is having a field day. Tiger has had a squeaky clean image up until this point. The issue is the media won't let this situation die. Everywhere you turn for some reason Tiger Woods... it really wasn't news to begin with honestly. I mean, how many celebrities have affairs. There has been many in the past, where celebs have gotten caught and there wasn't this much attention on the affair. So why Tiger?

I wonder if he's feeling his black side now. Every time, and I mean every time, there is someone of greatness who happens to be black (in America), someone either tries to ruin their image, or kill them. But, what's sad about all this, is black people are the first one to try and taint an image of a fello black. No, it's not done on a massive media campaign, like they're doing Tiger now. But, maybe said something negative about him, joked about him, heck maybe even looked down on him because he's with a white girl. Either which way, it's all bad. Tiger did wrong, got caught, now can we please get over it?

BET gave me an INFECTION

This past Thanksgiving weekend, the day after to be exact, I was sitting watching BET. I started to get a headache, a fever, and light head. I was then examined by my aunt, who's a nurse, she said I should go to urgent care. Apparently, had some sort of infection that flared up, while watching BET. Now the infection wasn't contagious, meaning I couldn't pass it to no one, however if you start to experience these symptoms, take not of what you're watching. For those who doubt this, I'm on anti-biotics, and everything. They'll be reporting this case on it's news. I just need to know what time it comes on

Facebook Is KILLING PEOPLE!!!

Ok, so a lady lost her health insurance coverage, because she posted pictures on facebook. Apparently the lady took off a of work because of "depression," and was unable to work because of it. She went out to have a good time, and posted those pictures on facebook. Someone at the insurance company saw those pictures, and suggested that if she could have a good time she could work. LOL...exposed on by FACEBOOK. Now her insurance company stop paying compensation for depression.

Next, a red head kid got beat up!!! Twice in one day because of facebook. So what happened? "Kick a Ginger Day!!!" Referring to red head people. There's a group the said that "Kick a Ginger Day" was on Friday. And seventh and eighth graders, kicked ginger, and ginger got kick twice. That's what I call a bad day.

Who would've known that facebook would actually get people in trouble?

PS...Depression was invented by the government, to have an excuse to drug people and not deal with there issues. And "Kick a Ginger Day" is cruel.

I've just finished watching the movie 2012, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Something about movies with the entire world being in danger interests me. But, is it me or is every movie when the world will be destroyed the president is black? "5th Element," "Impact," and now "2012."

I'm probably a conspiracy theorist, but is someone trying to send some type of sign?
We now have our first black president, and during the year 2012 he will still be in his presidential term. Honestly, I don't know. But it's just something to think about.

The video above, although hilarious, brings up an disturbing issue in my mind. Which is, Niggaz made it cool for white people to say "Nigga." By "Niggaz" I mean, individuals lacking wisdom and rationale, or people neglecting to use the wisdom they have, in the pursuit of anything destructive to themselves,with no regards to the people around them. I'm talking about all variations of the word(nigger, nigga, niggr, nigg@, ni@@a, ni$$a, and any that I missed)

I mean honestly, can we really blame caucasions for continuing to say nigga. I mean it's in lyric, sentences, it's even justified by many. The guy in the video above is lip syncing all the words to the rap song "Go to Sleep Hoe," I find it hilarious that it's a white guy knowing a Three 6 Mafia song. As you may have noticed the song contains the word "Nigga." Now what's the difference between a black enjoying the song singing the words and a white doing the same? In all honesty that is what music is made for, enjoyment. It's nigga music!!! Made, by black niggaz, for the enjoyment of all niggaz. And Black niggaz, get offended by other niggaz, when they say Nigga!!! (white, Asians, middle eastern, Hispanics are exempt for some reason). NIGGA PLEASE!!!

Don't get on the whites for enjoying the Nigga music, Get on the NIGGAZ who created it!!!

DC Sniper was finally put down.

John Allen Muhammad's life came to a close Tuesday night as the convicted D.C. sniper was put to death by lethal injection at a prison in southern Virginia. According to prison spokesman Larry Traylor, officials declared Muhammad dead at precisely 9:11 p.m. at the Greensville Correctional Center.

The time of death echoed the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, when Muhammad and his young accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo wreaked such deadly havoc in the Washington, D.C., area.

According to Traylor, the prisoner was "very unemotional" as he was led into the execution chamber. "He seemed quiet and relaxed," said the official. "After he was placed on the gurney and strapped down, he was motionless."

And although Muhammad was given the chance to make a final statement, he declined. "He did not say anything," reported Traylor. "I did not hear him utter a word."

For some of the families of his many victims, the execution brought little sense of closure. Steven Moore, whose sister Linda Franklin was slain by Muhammad in Washington, greeted the news on CNN with no visible joy. "It's another life gone," he said, "this one deservedly so.... I don't feel any closure. The justice system has executed another prisoner who needs to be executed."

Others found a least a measure of solace in observing Muhammad's end. Cheryll Witz was among those who traveled to Viriginia to witness the procedure. Her father, Jerry Taylor, was killed on an Arizona golf course in March 2002 by Malvo.

"[Muhammad] basically watched my dad breathe his last breath," Witz told The Associated Press. "Why shouldn't I watch his last breath?"

Homosexual Children Characters

Many stars have had to fight persistent rumors about their sexuality. And in that way, Ernie and Bert are no different than John Travolta and Tom Cruise.

I've recounted the stories about the infamous "Ernie and Bert are gay" rumor probably more times than Count Von Count can count. But with "Sesame Street" celebrating its 40th anniversary on Tuesday, I'm going to take it as an opportunity to rehash that same silly rumor one more time.

The sexuality of other cartoon characters has come into question aswell. Anti-gay groups have accused SpongeBob SquarePants and Tinky Winky of the "Teletubbies" of harboring a homosexual agenda, even while most people with half a brain were saying, "They're just children's characters."

Bert and Ernie's lifestyle choices, however, didn't help matters. They share a room, and a bedroom, if not a bed. They bicker like husband and wife. They frequently break out in song. One has a curious obsession with his rubber ducky.

The new black Barbies released by Mattel have fuller lips, curlier hair and other features that the company says more accurately represent African-American women.

Some have cheered the new dolls. Others jeered them, saying they're not black enough.

"I love the black Barbie. It's about time," Jua Simpson said on CNN's iReport, a user-generated news community. "But the hair is still a step backwards, since most of our hair is not straight and light brown."

Others disagree with critics who say the dolls should have had more natural black hairstyles, such as afros or braids.

"Many people have criticized the dolls for either having hair that's too long or too straight, but I have long, straight hair that I straightened. But it's my hair and a part of me," said Tanisa Zoe Samuel, an African-American iReporter from the Turks and Caicos, in the Caribbean. A Christian, A Muslim, and an Athiest..

What do you get? A Barbershop. With many debates on what's right, and wrong. And the only conclusions that were agreed upon, that Jesus is of brown complexion, the Qur'an is a good book, and there is a "Higher form of Energy," but according to the atheist no God.

I, being the only Christian representative, often am under the attack for the things people did while claiming Christianity. Anything from bad words to slavery, I'm taking heat for the Christians, especially the Europeans. Boy Jesus would be proud of me, taking the blows for the Christian. Only thing I haven't mastered the cheek turning.

However, what I find in most topics like these is that very few people look at faith, but judge the faith based on what the people have done. They're not just judging the book by it's cover but, judging the book by the people carrying it. And YES all Christians should strive toward being an accurate representations of the faith. But, the only way to judge the faith is by faith, in other words do your research.

So many conversations were started because people took a scripture and interpreted it based on one particular form of thinking, to prove a point. Not realizing that if you read the book, the Bible, you will notice that it's a group stories, in fact many books within a book. So, trying to prove a point based on one scripture is like taking the one line out funny movie, and calling it drama based on the strength of that one line. Or, how Fox News took a 3:00 minute clip out of Rev. Wrights sermon, and missed the whole point. The sad thing is, Christians do this as well to prove religious points. This isn't good either way.

The whole point is this you have to know about what you're talking about before you talk about it, because when someone finally does the research, or the already did there research you'll look foolish.

What is up with the peoples fascination with the words can't, and impossible? Seriously they are, from my perspective, the most over used words. For every one thing there are at least 10 people to say what you can't do. Seem like whenever you say you want to do something, so many people just say you can't, because they can't. Then they start pointing out all the reasons why something won't happen, I mean they actually justify why something is impossible

You can't because you don't want to. I recently got into a HEATED debate because to of my comrades said they were trapped, because America traps people. RIDICULOUS!!!! Yes, some things are hard, or take a while to acquire, or may cause you to get help. But, there is nothing impossible.

Someone once said it's impossible for humans to fly, because they don't have wings. So, someone just built wings, now it only cost 100 plus bucks to fly. Someone once said a black man would never be president in America, racist America. I've heard more black people say this, disheartening. Now, Barack Obama is President. A black guy with an African name. How about that?

Too many people have not chosen to achieve greatness, so they automatically default to being losers. And pointing out the impossibilities becomes the only thing they're good at. Everyone has obstacles get over it. Life is for the Dreamer, and movers...not the sleepers.

So we find money to give to NASA, for purposes of bombing the moon for water. But, won't spend any for healthcare. Priorities are definitely switched around.

What kind of world do we live in where focus and money goes to space, opposed to going to obvious problems that needs solving? Such as, hmm I don't know, healthcare. This country is getting more and more interesting by the minute. I wonder what the rest of the world has to say about NASA bombing the moon. America often forgets that it has to share things like that.

Bombing the moon? As if we haven't messed one thing in our solar system up enough, Earth, we now are working on messing up the moon too.

I was just saying wouldn't it be funny if Mike Vick got his own reality show. And ain't life grand, he gets one. Leave it up to good old BET to give him one. Strangely enough, I actually support this.

Sorry, but it's true. In an attempt to remake is image, the NFL star and dogfighting operator is taking to reality TV, with a show beginning early next year.

Tentatively titled The Michael Vick Project, the show will air on BET.

Its focus will be his comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles player and the struggles he's endured off the field - namely the 2007 arrest for orchestrating a dog fighting ring that landed him in federal prison for almost two years.

It's always nice to see a comeback story. Next step I he'll be doing a "Rescue the Abused Animals Commercial." Go Vick Go!!

Sad news for the District of Columbia: Ben Ali, the patriarch of U Street institution Ben’s Chili Bowl, passed away last night at around 9:00 pm. A family member said that Ali “passed peacefully,” noting that he’d had “health issues off and on.” Ali had just recently returned for a cruise with his wife, Virginia—the two were approaching their 51st wedding anniversary.

“He lived a full life and put a lot into the business,” said a family member. Asked whether Ben’s will close at any point in observance of the passing of its founder, the family member said a decision on that matter hadn’t yet been made.

Slavery happened in America, right? So why isn't it taught in schools along with American History? I mean it was only, a part the country for centuries. To be totally honest, the free labor during slavery is one of the main reasons why America is a super power. It's as American as Apple PIE!!!

All the "Black History" figures such as, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X, Marcus Garvey, WEB DuBois, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, etc, should be discussed and studied in US history, not during black history month.

Carter G Woodson fought for black history month, but became satisfied with just that month. Blacks should be mentioned right along with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, John Kennedy, etc. Black had just as much to do with American culture as anyone else in this country.

DREAMING is not enough!!! Everyone has big dreams, or has had big dreams. The difference between the people living they're dream and those not, is the fact that ones living they're dream woke up and went to work!
Laziness, and excuses get you know where. Maybe you're the type that has a lot a responsibilities, very little time and money. Too often people give themselves such reason for not achieving the things of they're hearts desire, and use the words I can't because of... Any excuse will do for failure.
NEW FLASH!!! There is always something you can do, even if it's small and it doesn't seem like it's making a difference. You may not be working on the part you want to work on, but there is something. I'm sick of hearing people complaining about the economy, the money, the people, and what they don't have. Everyone has obstacles, you may not think so because they aren't the same as yours. Everyone is not built for the type of obstacles I, the Chief Editor, has been through. Just as I am not built for everyone else trials.

So all of this to say SHUT UP!!!! AND GO ACHIEVE SOMETHING!!!

BET, is know longer playing any kind of educational or informative Shows. All shows are based in drama, and ignorance. Seems like BET's sole plan is make people, especially blacks, more mindless and drama filled. As if people need anymore.

It's nearing the end of our 44th president's, Barack Obama, first year. And boy oh boy it has stirred up some issues. Controversial decisions have been made. Some people believes he's doing to much, some believes he hasn't done enough. But regardless, what you believe he has handled this first year with class.

There has never been a President that is under such scrutiny, and watched so closely. I believe if we would've watched Bush so closely, he would've never got a second term, but let's not get started on him. And not everyone, is built to handle such a mess that was left behind.

1st Year Track record:
-- Passed a $787 billion economic stimulus plan.
-- Unveiled a series of measures to help troubled banks, homeowners and small businesses.
-- Reversed many Bush-era initiatives, such as detention policies and harsh interrogation practices.
-- Announced that the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, would be closed by 2010.
-- Increased the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
-- Announced a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.
-- Overturned a Bush-era policy that limited federal tax dollars for embryonic stem cell research.
-- Proposed a 2010 budget that included key energy, education and health care programs.
--Quit smoking.

Tyler Perry Finally Lifts Burden

Who would have ever thought that Tyler Perry was molested, abused and all of the above while growing up?

Perry is an executive producer of the movie, which tells the tale of Claireece “Precious” Jones, an illiterate, obese 16-year-old girl from Harlem who is emotionally and physically abused. The movie is set for release later this year.

The 40-year-old producer says he can identify with the character.

He recounts stories of being beaten, being mistreated and constantly being belittled.

OJ Simpson's ex-girlfriend is now speaking out how OJ was abusive, and now believes he killed his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson. I don't doubt that OJ is abusive, whatever that means now days. Abused seems to depend on sensitivity level now.

Nicole Brown Simpson did have some things coming to her that may have included death. The part that most people don't know is that Nicole Brown, was using drugs, and was using OJ's support money to purchase drugs. OJ stop paying and she owed the drug dealers money. That evidence wasn't aloud during trial, because it was "Nicole's personal life," and apparently didn't have anything to do with the OJ.

Not mention, the big cut in her neck with the tongue hanging through is signature of a few gangs.

Ok, ok, ok....Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. And people have a right to express this opinion. You may even be right, but stealing someone else's moment, that's just a new low. Kanye what were you thinking?

Now, we all laughed the first time he stepped on stage, when Kanye lost "Best New Artist," to be honest he was right and many people felt the same way. This time, it wasn't even his category, it was for best female video. Mind your own category!!!

To add insult to injury, a black male hip hop artist, Kanye West, did this to a blond white female country artist, who also happens to be a lesbian, Taylor Swift. That just looks bad, you might as well throw your sales in the garbage, in the white community. Which may be the only community that's buying CD's.

However, I did agree with Kanye's opinion. I mean who really made a better video than that Beyonce' video, you know that one with the leotard. And yes everyone is over reacting to the whole situation. Media made Kanye look worse than G W Bush.

Congratulations, to Taylor Swift, and thanks to Beyonce' for allowing her to have her moment.

Why do we fear the BLACK MAN?

It is now 2009! We're a few in to the 21st Century, and America has finally gotten over the whole racism thing, or so we think. After the Civil Rights Movement, a few other campaigns, and a Black president, you would think America would finally see African-Americans as equals. Why is there, still, such a negative image of black people. I blame the media.

If you've been paying attention closely to the television, and it's various shows, you may notice the subtle attacks on people of African decent. For example, the constant scrutiny on the First Lady, Michelle Obama. Especially, the most recent, comment about the wearing of shorts, during a vacation in 100+ degree weather. Also, take into consideration the criticisms on the famous black people, the assumption of Steroid use for the athletes, all the cartoon villains being people with dark features, and of course the news.

Notice how the news still refer to Michael Vick as an Ex-Con. You may say "Well he is an ex-con." That is very true. But, do we refer to President George Bush as ex-alcoholic, or Lindsey Lohan as ex or current drug addict. So is it safe to say, the media hates the black man?

Now, maybe you haven't paid too much attention before. Hopefully, this serves as a magnifying glass. What do you think?

The Dog on Man is Back

As most may know, the former star quarterback, Michael Vick, is returning to the NFL. After serving 18 months in prison, and missing 2 NFL seasons, the Philidelphia Eagles have decided to give Vick a second chance, with a few strings attached. Whether or not you agree with the comissioner's, or the Eagles' President's, decision to allow Vick to play football, it brings up a question that needs to be answered. Which is...why can't society forgive a criminal?

We all know that some decisions you have to live with for the rest of your life. However, is it really fair to "hang" that decsion over a person's head, even if the sentence have been served?

Michael Vick is one of the few celebrities who did not get off blame free. So why is that we, and the media, just say "He served his time in full, now let him live." Does soeciety think that highly of themselves that, they can't let go of someone elses poor judgement?
